And there’s a hand my trusty friend.

Perhaps your New Year has officially started, but here in Ireland we are still waiting for the most famous countdown of the year to begin. It’s about 6pm here so we’re still in for a wait. And I’ll be honest, I’m not a huge fan of NYE but I do get sentimental about the year ending.

So I wanted to share a few of my Christmas highlights with you while we are still in 2022.

So this year I was very lucky I got to see a Christmas concert in the Everyman Theatre in Cork. The concert was called “A Very Buble-Esque Christmas” and was part Christmas concert, part retrospective of Michael Buble’s career. Despite not being a Michael Buble fan, I had a ball and I’m planning to go to next years concert too. (There will probably be less Michael Buble….I think)

I was also very fortunate to see the GLOW festival which takes place in the Bishop Lucey Park for the month of December. It was a real surprise this year because the Bishop Lucey Park was due for renovation but it was postponed until 2023. In short, the GLOW festival is an interactive show that features dancers, performers and light displays. It is only open for four weekends and you have to book it in advance.

And finally, I spent an evening wandering around looking at the lights in the city. As my sister says, there is something very charming about the mishmash of lights every year.

However, like everyone else, there was a lot I didn’t get around to doing. There was a lot of markets I wanted to go to and more places to visit but that’s what 2023 is for. And part of my “New Year Revolution” is that I want to improve this blog every way that I can.

So thank you so much for everyone who has stuck around so far. It has absolutely made my day when I see that the visitor count go up. (I won’t tell you how excited I get when I get a like). And please do stay for 2023 too because I have so much I want to share with everyone. I like the look of 2023.

So have a fantastic New Years Eve and Day. Take care of yourselves and enjoy the rest of your Christmas.

Lots of love,

Nade.
